Popatopolis DVDs No More?!

Popatopolis DVD sales on Amazon and Popatopolis.com will cease this Friday (April 29) in anticipation of our latest distribution deal. Any and all orders made before 11:59am PST on Friday will be fulfilled so get your orders in while there's still time!

Historical tidbits:
•Popatopolis.com sold it's first DVD on March 9, 2010.
•Since then it's sold hundreds of DVDs worldwide (even as far as Sandfjärdsgatan [okay it's a street in Sweden so it's not thaaat far away but far enough that we're not even sure how to pronounce it]).
•Only one person confirmed finding all the hidden Easter eggs on the DVD.

Horror Society Film Festival


Popatopolis is proud to be a part of this year's Horror Society's Film Festival. The Horror Society will host the best film festival in Chicago in the best month for Horror. From October 23 - 24, this two day event will feature blood curdling classic horror movies and cutting-edge films that represent the new genre of horror.

The B Movie Celebration Strikes Again!


Get ready for three nights and two days of good ole' fashion B Movie mania at the 4th annual B Movie Celebration in Franklin, Indiana.

Popatopolis is proud to be a part of this annual event and is honored to receive the Golden Cob Award for Best B-Movie Documentary.

Popatopolis screens on Sunday Night, Sept 26, 2010, at 7:00PM at the Canary Creek Cinemas theater and will be immediately followed by one of Jim's many classics, Chopping Mall.

Official Selection of Cinefantasy Festival!


Celebrating its fifth event, the Cinefantasy festival is already one of the most important events for the fantasy genre in Latin America, attracting fans and media by the droves from all over the world.

This free event that happens annually in the city of São Paulo, Brazil really reminds us how sometimes the best things in life really are free. Popatopolis is proud to be a part of such a great event.

Popatopolis Wins the Golden Cob Award!


Popatopolis is honored to accept its lumpy rod of an award for Best B Movie Documentary. It's not just your average corn-on-the-cob at the local grocery. We're talking about one of the weirdest awards you could ever claim to have won: the Golden Cob Award!

The Golden Cob Awards are handed out every year at the B Movie Celebration in Franklin, Indiana, recognizing the best in B movies. The 4th annual B Movie Celebration begins September 24th through the 26th, and awards will be given on the 25th.

Official Selection of Fantaspoa!


FANTASPOA, International Fantastic Cinema of Porto Alegre, Brazil, has chosen POPATOPOLIS as an Official Selection for 2010. The festival will be held July 02 - 18 and the movie will be screened on July 06 @ 5:00 PM and July 09 @ 3:00 PM at the PF Gastal Cinema.

Maybe Popatopolis will bring home an answer as to why they call it the "Full Brazilian."
